Terms of service

Last updated 2 November 2026

These terms govern your use of the Retracify app for Shopify (“the App”), operated by [Company legal name], [Registered business address] (“Retracify”, “we”, “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these terms on behalf of the store you install it on. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. The service

Retracify records changes to your Shopify store’s catalog and content, shows them as a history, and lets you write earlier field values back to your store (“revert”). What is tracked and what can be reverted is described on our website and in the App, and may change as we improve it or as Shopify changes its platform.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must have a Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it. You are responsible for who on your team can access the App, and for what they do with it.

3. Plans, trials and billing

4. Your data

Your store data stays yours. You give us permission to access, store and process it only to provide the App, as described in our privacy policy.

5. Reverts

A revert writes values to your live store when you ask for it. Before you confirm, the App shows what will change and warns you when a field has changed again since the edit you are reverting. You are responsible for reviewing a revert before confirming it. We are not responsible for the results of a revert you confirmed, including changes it overwrote.

6. Platform limits

The App depends on Shopify. Shopify does not record an author for every change, does not notify apps of every change immediately, and can change or withdraw features. Some changes may therefore appear late, show no author, or not be tracked. Retracify is a history and undo tool, not a backup. Keep your own backups of data you cannot afford to lose.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App: do not try to reach data that is not yours, interfere with or overload the service, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use it to break the law or Shopify’s terms.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or retire features. If we discontinue the App, we will give at least 30 days’ notice where we can.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. After uninstall, your data is deleted as described in our privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you in the App or by email. If you keep using the App after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state]. Disputes go to the courts of [city, country], unless the law where you are based gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
